COVID19: LOKPAL PUNJAB OFFICE TO REMAIN CLOSED FOR PUBLIC DEALING TILL MARCH 31

In view of the directions issued by the Punjab Government regarding COVID19,  the office of Lokpal Punjab shall remain closed for public and will deal with only very important/urgent cases till March 31,2020.

Disclosing this official spokesperson of the Lokpal said that the Under Secretary-Lokpal will depute special staff for a particular day to deal with the urgent/important matters, if any. This order shall remain effective till 31 March 2020. This order is issued specially keeping in view of the fact that public throughout Punjab come to the office of the Lokpal Punjab to attend to their complaint(s), which is not advisable for them. He said that the issue with regard to resumption of complete functioning of the office shall be reviewed on April1, 2020.

Action Taken by Deptt. of Health, Punjab:-

  1. A.     Advisory and guidelines issued to all the districts for prevention and management.
  2. B.     Screening started at both the International Airports (Amritsar & Mohali) and check posts at International Border (Attari/Wagah and Dera Baba Nanak, Gurdaspur)
  3. C.     Thermal Sensors and Non-contact thermometers available at airports for screening.
  4. D.     500 beds in Amritsar and 500 beds in SAS Nagar Quarantine facilities identified.
  • 14 passengers under Govt. Quarantine at Amritsar.
  1. E.     1077 beds in Isolation Wards and 24 Ventilators identified.
  2. F.      Control Room at State & District level activated.
  3. G.    Central Helpline number 104 active.
  4. H.    Sufficient logistics available at all sites.
