CHAIRMAN CII HARYANA STATE CONTRIBUTES RS 66 LAKHS TO CII FOUNDATION FOR COVID19 RELIEF & REHABILITATION WORK

Mr Sunjay Kapur, Chairman, CII Haryana State Council & Chairman, Sona COMSTAR has contributed Rs 66 Lakhs from CSR funds of Sona COMSTAR to CII Foundation for the purpose of conducting Relief & Rehabilitation Work for the people affected by COVID19 in Haryana.

A spokesperson of CII Foundation informed that they have received and are also in the process of receiving contributions in cash as well as in kind from various CII member companies in this crisis to support the destitute and also those who have been impacted by lockdown in the country.

Talking specifically about Haryana, the spokesperson informed that many companies on their own are contributing a lot in form of distributing food packets, hygiene kits, etc. in Gurugram, Faridabad and other districts.

By working closely with our on ground partners, we have identified the most urgent need of ration and hygiene items of the farm labours, small & marginal farmers in Rohtak, Fatehabad and Sirsa districts who are struggling to get their daily needs because of current lockdown in the state informed the CII officials.

The funds collected will be utilized towards community preparedness with hygiene kits distribution in the community; Food Ration distribution to support marginal population in lockdown; and Community Awareness through Audio Van to educate people about cough etiquette, Do’s & Don’ts, Proper Use of Mask and personal hygiene.
