CHANDIGARH LOCKDOWN RELAXATIONS: ALL INNER MARKETS TO REMAIN OPEN, RELIGIOUS PLACES WILL REMAIN CLOSED

Due to the outbreak of corona all the inner markets, including Shastri Mocket, which were closed for a long time, will open from Tuesday. The decision was taken in a regular meeting i.e. 'War Room' chaired by the administration VP Singh Badanore on Monday. Under this decision, shopkeepers will be able to open their shops from 10 am to 6 pm under the rules of Aud-Even. These include Sadar Market of Sector-19, Palika Bazar, Gandhi Market, Rehri Market of Sector 46, Patel Market of Sector-15, Krishna Market of Sector-41.

Chandigarh administration offices will be held from 10 am to 5.30 pm. Private offices of the city will have to operate with 50 percent staff. The problems of the people will be heard from 11 to 12 in the government offices.

Inter-state movement of passenger vehicles and buses will start only after the consent of UT and other states. Medical professionals, nurses and para-medical staff, sanitation workers and ambulances will be able to enter without permission without any restrictions*All types of freight and empty trucks will be allowed for inter-state entry.*All construction activities, work will have to be done under the prescribed norms*All e-commerce activities will start in all essential and non-essential items*Industrial activities will start including manufacturing

In addition to domestic medical services, domestic air ambulances and MHA permission for security purposes or purposes, all domestic and international air services of passengers will remain closed.

Schools, colleges, educational, training, coaching institutes etc. will remain closed. Online distance learning will be allowed and encouraged. Excluding hotels, restaurants and other hospitality services, housing health, police government officials, health workers, tourists, including those who remain stranded and quarantine facilities and canteens at bus depots, railway stations and airports will remain closed.

All cinema halls, shopping malls, gymnasiums, swimming pools, amusement parks, theaters, bars and auditoriums, assembly halls will remain closed.

All social, political, sports, entertainment, educational, cultural, religious functions, other meetings and large conferences will not be allowed, all religious places, places of worship will remain closed to the public.

Significantly, according to the order of the Central Government, Chandigarh has been kept in the Red Zone and it will be kept in this category till the next years. The status given by the Health Department will be regularly checked by the Center.

Continued and the construction area will continue as previously designated. Keeping in view the views and guidelines of the existing Committee of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, there will be regular review of the limits of areas and other additions / deletions of the area.

Only necessary activities will be allowed in the Containment Zone. Strict periphery will be controlled to ensure that there is no movement of people in or outside these areas, except for medical emergencies and the supply of essential goods and services.

All households in the Containment Zone will be monitored, however, Defense and Security Services, Health and Family Welfare, Police, Prisons, Home Guards, Civil Defense, Fire and Emergency Services, Disaster Management and Related Services, NIC, Customs, FCI, NCC, NYK and municipal services will operate without any restrictions. entral government offices, offices in neighboring states, banks, etc. will have separate office hours to avoid traveling together by office-goers and crowds on the roads.

Private offices are advised to work with their 50 percent staff and encourage their employees to work from home. Public welfare offices such as contact centers, RLA, sub-registrar offices etc. will remain open.
