For the last 16-days, the club organised a community kitchen on behalf of all the members and entire media fraternity and cooked over 12,500 meals for the needy, which was distributed by the UT administration.

After discussing with the administration and analysing the demand-supply of the food in the city, we have closed the community kitchen on May 21. In case there’s any requirement for food in future, we are committed to contribute our bit to the society. The Returning Officer has been apprised of the development.

Note/new development (Takeaway): As per relaxation given by the UT administration in the fourth lockdown, the eaters have been allowed to open their kitchen for takeaway. So, to serve the members and their families and simultaneously demand raised by the members, the Governing Council after consultation with the Returning Officer has decided to start a takeaway from May 24.

As per relaxation given by the UT administration in the fourth lockdown, the eaters have been allowed to open their kitchen for takeaway. So, to serve the members and their families and simultaneously demand raised by the members, the Governing Council after consultation with the Returning Officer has decided to start a takeaway from May 24.

We are working on the guidelines and preparing a mechanism to avoid physical contact once the raw material has been put on the burner. There will be a fixed menu and only cooked food items will be there for take away and no salad or pudina/mix chutney (as both are not cooked items) will be given with the packing.

Mr. Saurabh Duggal, Secretary General of the club said, all the club staff, including kitchen staff, coming to the club will be screened on daily basis and their body temperature will be recorded in a register. The staff living in the containment zone will not be called for duty, and they will be given full salaries. There will be two dedicated contact numbers to place the orders.

Mr. Duggal further said, we will share all the details, regarding menu, timing for placing the orders and guidelines to be taken care of, in our next email by tomorrow evening.
