HARYANA GOVT. STARTED ONLINE EDUCATION TO PROTECT INTERESTS OF PARENTS OF SCHOOL STUDENTS: KANWAR PAL

Haryana Education Minister Mr. Kanwar Pal said that the state government has taken steps to protect the interest of guardians of the school students of the state.

He said that to prevent the spread of COVID-19, a nationwide lockdown is being implemented due to which all schools were closed. To ensure that education is imparted to school students amid COVID-19 crisis, the Haryana government has started online education.

The state government has directed the private schools to refrain from increasing the school fees or changing school books and uniforms owing to the financial constraints arisen due to COVID-19. Also, on the concern of the parents regarding school fees the state government directed the private schools to desist from charging building fund, maintenance fund, admission fees, computer, transport charges etc and just charge the tuition fees instead. He further said that if a guardian is unable to deposit the fees then he can write to the school administration requesting to deposit it in installments later.

Education Minister said that the government and private schools of the state have been permitted to open their administrative offices so that admission, school books and important work can be done.
