UNIMARCK PHARMA CLOSED OPERATION IN MAHARASHATRA REGION,, MAJOR SET BACK TO EMPLOYEES

Unimarck Pharma (India) Limited, a renowned ISO 9001 certified company having big unit in Baddi in Himachal Pradesh reported to have stopped operation in Rest of Maharashtra Unit with immediate effect. This decision of the company caused a major set back to Company employees posted in Maharashtra Unit of the Company.

Mr. Rahul Sharma,, having experienced of Pharma companies, from Mohali said, company Director Mandeep Singh Bhatia, in a communication to Rest of Maharashtra Staff , said, “ I am writing this letter with heavy heart. The COVID-19, pendamic has posed unprecented challenges for the entire world and we are no exception to it. In view of total uncertainty duration and scale of the Covid-19 crisis , there is no present visibility of how the economy shall pan out in the near future.

Since the start of the operations in the Rest of Maharashta Region, the company has witnessed commulative losses in this region and has not be able to reach a breakeven point. After deep thought and looking into the current situation, we are unable to run operations in Rest of Maharashtra Region, so we are closing our operations in Rest of Maharashtra region with immediate effect”

It may not be placed to mention here that the company in its communication to Rest of Maharashtra staff did not mention regarding the payments to retrenched staff as per labour laws.
