WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATED

The World Environment Day was celebrated in Sachkhand Convent School  located here on the Hindumalkot Road.
Chairman Ashok Ahuja, Principal Alveena Daniel and 33 percent of the staff present at the school planted saplings in the picturesque campus.

Ahuja said that World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated on 5th June every year, and is the United Nations' principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment.

On the occasion, Principal Alveena, while giving the Corona epidemic online message to the children, said that today the biggest need of the present situation is environmental protection. She motivated the children to take care of their food, keep  the surroundings clean, use less plastic items and handle them with maximum plantation. She said that due to increasing pollution and deteriorating life style, it is very important to be aware of the environment. She also advised all to follow guidelines on protection from pandemic.
