Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal said that Press is the fourth pillar of democracy and media plays an outstanding role in strengthening and building a civilized society.  In a message issued here today on the eve of Press Day, the Chief Minister   greeted the media personnel and said that they play an important role in the development of country and the state. They act as a link between the government and the people through their writings. On one hand, they inform the people about the development and welfare policies and programmes of the government and on the other hand provide necessary feedback to the government. He said that Press had also played a significant role in the freedom struggle of the country.
