Team of Police Station Cyber Crime arrested 5 accused in two cases i.e. FIR No. 120 dated 10.12.2023, U/S 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC, PS – Cyber Crime, Chandigarh, Case FIR No. 64 dated 08.06.2023 U/S 419, 420, 120B IPC PS Cyber Crime, UT, Chandigarh under supervision/direction of Sh. Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP/Cyber Crime, Chandigarh, close guidance of Sh. A Venkatesh, DANIPS, DSP/PS-CC& IT, UT, Chandigarh and leadership of Inspector Ranjit Singh, SHO, PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh.
The accused identified as Sunny S/o Lt. Sukhbeer Singh, Vill Khurrampur, Murad Nagar, Ghaziabad, U.P., Age 26 Years., 2. Tarun Kumar Sanwat S/o Manoj Kumar Sanwat, H.no 1204, Near Durga Mandir, Shri Ram Chowk, Tikarpara, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Age 29 Years, Atar Singh @ Krishna Kushwaha S/o Bhagwan Singh, Vill Guliya Pura, Datia, PS Gora Ghat, M.P. age 34 years , Saktar Ansari S/o Samsuddin Ansari R/o Vill. Pathargatiya, PalajoriDevgarh, harkhand- Age 31 Years, Rahmat Ansari S/o Kitabali Miya R/o Vill. Pathargatiya, Palajori Deogarh, Jharkhand. Age 28 Years.
The present case has been has been registered on the complaint of Mansoor Ali, Sector 3060, Sector 20/D Chandigarh, in which he mentioned that his wife was to visit New York (USA) from 17.11.2023 for one month. They started looking for the apartment and on they found a website by the name of Zillow Property.
They have deposited amount in different transactions in the name of registration, document verification, police clearance etc. As such he have been cheated of total amount of Rs.133123/- as there was no apartment the address so given in the New York (USA).
During the course of investigation on 17.12.2023 alleged Sunny S/o Lt. Sukhbeer Singh, Vill Khurrampur, Murad Nagar, Ghaziabad, U.P., age 26 years arrested from Basantpur Saintli road, PS Muradnagar, Ghaziabad area.
During interrogation he disclosed that he trades crypto currency on different crypto platforms. Further, two more accused namely Tarun Kumar Sanwat S/o Manoj Kumar Sanwat, H.no 1204, Near Durga Mandir, Shri Ram Chowk, Tikarpara, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Age 29 Years. and Atar Singh @ Krishna Kushwaha S/o Bhagwan Singh, Vill Guliya Pura, Datia, PSGora Ghat, M.P. age 34 years arrested from Raipur, Chattisgarh.
During interrogation they disclosed that they are in cintact with an American person through whatsapp, he transfer the cheated amount in the bank accounts which are provided by them. Then they purchase the USDT through Binance and send the same to Amrican person. Their part of profit is 10% for every transaction. Both accused are on police remand and today i.e. 30.12.2023 both will sent to judicial custody. Further investigation of the case is going on.
Master Mind & Modus Operandi: During the course of investigation found that person namely Atar Singh @ Abhishek Kushwaha who is the kingpin of this scam, he and Tarun Kumar Sanwat manage the bank accounts in which cheated amount duped and circulated via Crypto Currency by using different crypto currency platforms. They trade in Crypto Currency on different platforms and they create merchant accounts on different platforms and trade in bulk.
After that they sent the same to an American person through Binance. Five accounts have been used by these fraudsters and transactions of cheated money.
Meanwhile , the present case was registered on the complaint of a lady from Chandigarh in which she reported that she searched customer care contact number of Simple Pay app on Google for refund of amount, where she found a number 9142903700 and dialed the same.
The person on call told her to download remote desktop accessing App. i.e. Any Desk App and they also sent her a link through they have taken unauthorized access of her mobile phone and other accounts. Thereafter the alleged transactions of amounting Rs. 84271/-, Rs. 15009/- & Rs. 25000/- (Total amounting Rs 1.25 Lacs. Approximately).
During the course of investigation alleged Rahmat Ansari S/o Kitabali Miya R/o Vill. Pathargatiya, Palajori Deogarh, Jharkhand – Age 28 Years,. Saktar Ansari S/o Samsuddin Ansari R/o Vill. Pathargatiya, Palajori Devgarh, Jharkhand- Age 31 Years, arrested from Jharkhand. Both alleged are sent to Judicial Custody.
