The team of Police Station Sector 36 Chandigarh solved the heinous case of Kidnapping/Abduction for ransom within short span of time after the reporting of crime.The team arrested two accused and Hero Splendor Motor Cycle No. HR22Q5064 which used to commit the crime, Snatched Mobile Phone of complainant and cash Rs. 15000/- has been recovered from their possession. 

Police said, on Friday information through control room was received regard Kidnapping/Abduction of person from near Spring Park, Sector 53, Chandigarh.

On this information ASI Satish Kumar 3644/CP along with police party reached at the spot where nothing found on the spot. Thereafter information received from GMSH Sec 16 CHD that one person namely Robin Singh S/o Gulab Singh R/o # 1679, DMC, Chandigarh has been admitted due to injuries.

On this information ASI Satish Kumar 3644/CP along with police party reached at GH Sec 16 CHD, where said Robin Singh found admitted and his statement has been recorded in which he stated that he is working as a supervisor in Aakansha Company and their company had taken the contract of cleanness of Garbage at Dumping Ground Dadu Majra, Chd.

On 28.06.24 at about 06.30AM he along with JCB Driver Vishnu Pandey were filling the pits with black soil near Spring Park, Sector 53, Chandigarh in the meantime two boys on Splendor motorcycle No. HR22Q5064, who were under intoxicant condition came to them and started arguing and abusing with them. They tried to make them understand but they started manhandling with them.

They both were calling each other with their name as Kuldeep and Ajay. One of them hit brick on his head due to which excess blood started oozing from his head, due to which he started feeling dizzy. Thereafter the said boys covered his eyes with cloth and forcibly took him to deserted jungle area on their motorcycle.

They demanded Rs. 50000/- to  release him, but he could not arranged the demanded money, then said boys tortured him and attacked upon his hands and legs with broken beer bottle. He gets scared and he called to his Site Manager Nitin that his life is in danger and send him Rs. 50000/- to save him. On this, Nitin transferred Rs. 50000/- in his account through Phone Pay and upon receiving the message of money, one of them namely Kuldeep forcibly snatched his mobile and asked the password of Phone and his Phone Pay account.

After that they left him at deserted place and threatened him with dire consequences if he disclosed to anyone about this incident and fled away from the spot on their motorcycle. On his statement Case FIR No. 136, Dt. 28.06.2024, U/s 364,365,384,379B,34 IPC, PS-36 was registered.

Mridul, IPS, SP City a special team of Police Station Sector-36 was constituted under the close supervision of Insp. Jai Parkash Singh 309/CHG, SHO/PS-36 and overall supervision of Sh. Charanjit Singh Virk, SDPO/South-West, Sector 39, Chandigarh.

The team working on secret information laid down naka near D-Park, Sector 52, Chandigarh, where they apprehended both accused, who were riding on motorcycle, which was used by them to commit this crime.

During further investigation, both accused Kuldeep S/o Ram Pal R/o Vill. Jhampur, near Guga Madi, Distt. Mohali, PB Age- 26Years and Ajay S/o Suresh Pal R/o Vill. Jhampur, near Guga Madi, Distt. Mohali, PB Age- 28Years have been arrested.

During interrogation they disclosed that after snatching the mobile phone they went to shopkeeper, where they transferred Rs. 15000/- to shopkeeper through Phone Pay and taken same amount in cash.

The following recovery has been affected from their possession.

Recovery affected:-  Snatched Mobile Phone of complainant,  Splendor M/Cycle No. HR22Q5064, which used to commit the crime,, Cash Rs. 15000/-.

He is drug addict and doing the work of labour.
