ARRANGED VIETNAM VISA & FAKE CANADIAN VISA FOR THE JOURNEY OF THE PAX., PAX DEPORTED FROM HANOI, VIETNAM., TOOK FLIGHT FROM NEW DELHI TO HANOI., ENTRY RESTRICTED AT HANOI AIRPORT DUE TO FAKE CANADIAN VISA, AFFIXED IN HIS PASSPORT., UP BASED AGENT IS A HABITUAL CRIMINAL WHO WAS EARLIER ARRESTED IN SIMILAR CASE OF VISA/PASSPORT FRAUD OF PS IGI AIRPORT IN THE CURRENT YEAR 2024. O FIRST CASE OF IGIA UNIT UNDER NEW CRIMINAL LAWS I.E BHARTIYA NYAYA SANHITA.

Continuing crackdown on fraudulent agents, staff of PS IGI Airport arrested one fraudster UP based agent namely Jagjeet Singh @ Jaggi S/o Kuldeep Singh R/o Village-Katpura, Pilibhit, UP Age 32 years & one Punjab based agent namely Gurnam Singh S/o Sardar Harbans Singh R/o VPO- Mullanwal, PS-Bhaini Mian Khan, Distt- Gurdaspur, Punjab Age 31 years, in first case registered after implementation of New Criminal Laws i.e Case FIR No. 461/24 dated: 1.07.24 U/s 318(4),336(3), 340(2) BNS & 12 PP Act , PS IGI Airport, Delhi.

They had arranged fake Canadian Visa for the journey of the pax. Accused Jagjeet Singh @ Jaggi is a habitual criminal as he was also arrested previously in a similar case of Visa/Passport fraud of PS IGI Airport. 

Police said, the facts of the case are that on 1-07-24, one pax namely Karminder Singh S/o Sukhdev Singh R/o Village-Darpur, PS-Saidoval Khurd, Gurdaspur, Punjab age 22 yrs arrived at IGI Airport from Vietnam as a deportee. During scrutiny of his travel documents, one fake Canadian Visa was found affixed in his passport.

As the pax cheated Indian Immigration by traveling on a passport containing fake Visa, a Case FIR No. 461/24 dated: 1.07.24 U/s 318(4),336(3), 340(2) BNS & 12 PP Act, PS IGI Airport, Delhi was registered accordingly and investigation of the case was taken up.

During course of investigation of the case, pax Karminder Singh was arrested. On interrogation, he disclosed that many people of his village had gone to Canada for earning easy money. So he also decided to go there for better livelihood and for earning quick money. He got mobile number of one agent namely Jagjeet Singh @ Jaggi through internet.

Thereafter, he met with agent Jagjeet Singh @ Jaggi who promised to send him Canada via Vietnam, in lieu of Rs 24 lakhs. The pax further disclosed that he gave Rs 10 lakhs in cash to the agent Jaggi and Rs 14 lakhs in cash to another agent namely Gurnam Singh on the directions of agent Jaggi. Agent Gurnam Singh deposited Rs 14 lakhs in his bank accounts of HDFC & UCO banks and further transferred the same to agent Jagjeet Singh @ Jaggi.

Ms. Usha Rangnani, IPS, DCP, IGI Airport, said, during course of further investigation of the case, agent Jagjeet Singh @ Jaggi S/o Kuldeep Singh R/o Village-Katpura, Pilibhit, UP Age 32 years was formally arrested in the case as he was already running in Judicial Custody after being arrested in Case FIR No. 414/24 dated: 19.06.24 U/s 419/420/468/471 IPC, PS IGI Airport, Delhi.During interrogation, he disclosed that he is a graduate and runs a company in the name of “True Talk Imagination” at Bijnour which deals in ticket booking and sending people abroad. During his work, he came in contact with some agents who used to cheat people on the pretext of sending abroad and started working with them.

A dedicated team led by Inspr. Vijender Rana, SHO/IGI Airport, comprising of W/SI Saroj and ASI Pradeep was constituted under the close supervision of ACP/IGI Airport and overall supervision of the undersigned. The team was briefed properly and tasked to nab the absconding culprit at the earliest.

On the basis of technical surveillance, local intelligence coupled with sincere and dedicated efforts of the team, fraudster agent namely Gurnam Singh S/o Sardar Harbans Singh R/o VPO- Mullanwal, PS-Bhaini Mian Khan, Distt- Gurdaspur, Punjab Age 31 years was nabbed from one of his hideouts in Gurdaspur, Punjab and arrested in the case.

On sustained interrogation, accused Gurnam Singh confessed his guilt and disclosed that he has studied upto 12 th class. Some years ago, he came into touch with agent Jagjeet Singh @ Jaggi who used to dupe people on the pretext of sending them abroad. So, he started working with him in order to earn easy money. In this case, he disclosed that on the directions of agent Jaggi, he helped in arranging fake Canadian Visa for the journey of the pax and received Rs 14 lakhs from the pax in cash and thereafter he deposited that amount in his bank accounts of HDFC & Uco banks and transferred the same in the account of agent Jaggi. The accused further revealed that he received Rs 4 lakhs in cash as his commission from Jaggi.

Ms. Usha Rangnani, IPS, DCP, IGI Airport, said, during course of further investigation of the case, agent Jagjeet Singh @ Jaggi S/o Kuldeep Singh R/o Village-Katpura, Pilibhit, UP Age 32 years was formally arrested in the case as he was already running in Judicial Custody after being arrested in Case FIR No. 414/24 dated: 19.06.24 U/s 419/420/468/471 IPC, PS IGI Airport, Delhi.

During his work, he came in contact with some agents who used to cheat people on the pretext of sending abroad and started working with them.

The accused further disclosed his involvement in the case and revealed that the pax had approached him for arranging his journey to Canada and he finalized the deal in lieu of Rs 24 lakhs. As per deal, he along with the help of his associates, arranged fake Canadian Visa, Vietnam Visa & tickets for the journey of the pax. He further revealed that he alongwith his associates started cheating people in order to earn easy money.

Investigation of the case is in progress to unearth the involvement of other agents and to scrutinize bank accounts of the accused persons and to trace their possible involvement in other similar complaints/cases also.
