STUDENTS TO GET BUS PASS FACILITY UP TO 150 KMS, MINISTER, ASEEM GOEL, EARLIER, PASSES WERE ISSUED ONLY UP TO 60 KMS

Haryana Minister of State for Transport, Sh. Aseem Goel, has announced that the bus pass facility for students studying in government and recognized educational institutions in the state has been extended from 60 kms to 150 kms. 

He informed that the discounted bus passes will be issued to all students studying in such schools/colleges/institutions within the state that are recognized by the state government or affiliated with any university or board in the state. 

This decision by the government is expected to benefit several students across the state and is considered a major step taken in the interest of students.

According to the letter issued by the Transport Department, any school/college/institution wishing to obtain bus passes for their students must provide a verified copy of their institution's recognition/affiliation certificate along with a list of students to the relevant Roadways depot. This certificate must be issued by a competent authority. After verification, bus passes will be issued by the General Manager of the depot or an appointed officer as per the provided list. 

The Transport Minister stated that the Transport Department will issue bus passes for a maximum distance of up to 150 Kms from the educational institution, which was previously limited to only 60 kms. These bus passes will be issued on a semi-annual basis upon the recommendation of the school/college/institution authorities.

According to the letter issued by the Transport Department, any school/college/institution wishing to obtain bus passes for their students must provide a verified copy of their institution's recognition/affiliation certificate along with a list of students to the relevant Roadways depot. This certificate must be issued by a competent authority. After verification, bus passes will be issued by the General Manager of the depot or an appointed officer as per the provided list. 

The departmental letter also mentioned that the design/format of the bus passes will remain the same, although the color of the pass may be changed for easy identification. 

SEEMA TRIKHA VISITS INJURED SCHOOL CHILDREN IN HOSPITAL, ASSURES ALL POSSIBLE ASSISTANCE  :  Haryana Minister of State for School Education, Smt. Seema Trikha visited the school children injured in the bus accident that took place yesterday, at Sector 6 Civil Hospital in Panchkula today. She checked on their well-being and also assured the parents of all possible assistance from the government.

Smt. Trikha spoke with the parents of the injured children and received feedback on the treatment being provided and also directed the hospital staff that the children receive the best possible care and attention. She inquired in detail about the medical treatment and the food arrangements for the injured children.

She directed the CMO to closely monitor the treatment and ensure that the children are discharged only after complete recovery and to the parents' satisfaction.

Civil Surgeon, Dr. Mukta Kumar informed the Minister that around 11 children were admitted to the hospital, including six girls and five boys. One boy is in the ICU, and his condition is better than before.
