South Western Command organised a “Kargil Vijay Rajat Jayanti Mahotsav Soldier’s Loop Run” at Jaipur Military Station to commemorate 25 Years of Kargil War.
The unique run honoring the bravery, sacrifice, extreme endurance and determination of the bravehearts consisted of 26 loops of 2 Km each totaling a distance of 52 Kms symbolizing 26 July 1999 when the war officially came to an end.
Around 150 runners from all walks of life including veterans, civilians and military personnel of Jaipur Military Station participated in the event. The event was flagged off by Maj Gen Satbir Singh, SM at 2100h and continued till 0600h in the morning. Col Ashish Dhingra completed the 52 Km run in a record time of 5 Hours 20 mins.
