Para cricketer Amir Hussain from J&K motivated the players on the third day of the Allangers Gully Cricket Tournament being organised by UT Cricket Association and Chandigarh Police. 34-year-old Hussain who lost both his hands in an accident at the age of eight years spent almost one hour at a league match being played at Police Lines Ground, Sector 26.
Hussain is currently the brand ambassador of Aryans Group of Colleges for promoting education and sports in the region. Addressing the players, Hussain said that never feel disappointed in life. Keep nurturing your passion with a focused mind and keep sharpening your talent. UTCA President Sanjay Tandon, while encouraging the players said never accept defeat in life.
Despite the lack of resources, maintain your willpower. Keep away from addiction even in desperate situations. Also present on the occasion includes senior officers from Chandigarh Police including DSP Ram Gopal, members of the UTCA’s core committee CA Alok Krishan , Ravinder Singh Billa, Dr. Rupesh Singh, Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges. At the end Hussain also felicitated the winner and runner-up teams on this occasion.
