In a vibrant celebration of our nation’s 78th Independence Day, the students of St. John's School Kharar put forth an enthusiastic display of patriotism and creativity. The events, which included a Fancy Dress competition for Kindergarten and a Poetry competition for students of Grades 1 to 5, were a heartwarming reminder of the importance of national pride and cultural heritage.
The Kindergarten Fancy Dress competition was a delightful spectacle, with the youngest members of our school community donning costumes representing various national heroes, freedom fighters, and cultural symbols. Little ones marched onto the stage dressed as Mahatma Gandhi, Rani Lakshmibai, Subhas Chandra Bose, and other iconic figures.
Each child, with their innocent charm and vivid costumes, brought to life the stories of bravery and sacrifice that have shaped our nation. The auditorium was filled with applause and cheers as these tiny patriots took center stage, showcasing their understanding of the significance of Independence Day.

Following the Fancy Dress competition, the students from Grades 1 to 5 participated in a Poetry competition. The students amazed everyone with their powerful words, capturing the essence of freedom, the sacrifices of our forefathers, and the beauty of our diverse nation. Each poem was a testament to the budding talent and deep sense of patriotism among the children.
The event concluded with the speech of principal Mrs.Poonam Ahuja emphasizing the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and encouraging the young minds to contribute positively to the nation’s future.
