SACRIFICE OF SAHIBZADAS OF SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH TO BE COMMEMORATED AS VEER BAL DIWAS; STATE-LEVEL FUNCTION IN KURUKSHETRA ON DECEMBER 26, CHIEF MINISTER NAYAB SINGH SAINI TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENT

Dharmshastra Kurukshetra is not only historically significant due to its association with the Mahabharata but also as a place where the feet of Sikh Gurus, from Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, have graced the holy land. Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi had declared the martyrdom day of Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, sons of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, as Veer Bal Diwas. In this context, the Haryana Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini has decided to commemorate Veer Bal Diwas as a state-level event at Gurdwara Chhathi Patshahi on the sacred land of Kurukshetra.
Sharing this information here today, an official spokesperson said that Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini will attend the event as the chief guest, to pay tribute to the Sahibzadas and honorur their sacrifices.
He informed that many programmes including seminars based on the sacrifice of Sahibzadas will be organized on Veer Bal Diwas in all the government universities of the state. Youth will be specially connected with these programmes. The primary goal of the event is to raise awareness among the youth and future generations about the immense sacrifice made by the Sahibzadas.
The Sikh community has thanked Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini for this initiative.
