Dr. Jyoti Rattan, Professor of Law, Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh, has been appointed as Honorary Director, PU Coaching Centre for IAS and other Competitive Examinations for SC/ST and other categories (additional charge). Dr Madhuri Rishi, Professor & Former Chairperson, Department of Environment Studies, who has a long association with the Academy as a Resource person, has been appointed as Co-ordinator, for a period of two-years from today till 31 December 2026.
Besides teaching and research, Dr.Jyoti Rattan is an internationally acclaimed and established author and much sought-after keynote speaker and expert panellist having written 20 books in wide-ranging legal fields including International Law, Cyber laws Information Technology & Artificial Intelligence (Foreword written by The Chief Justice of India, Supreme Court, New Delhi), Intellectual Property Rights, Taxation Laws, Company Law, Right To Information (RTI), Law of Contract, Women and Law.
On 5 December 2024, she gave a Guest Lecture at the Western Sydney University School of Law, Sydney, Australia on Technology, Innovation and the Law.
Dr. Rattan had delivered public lecture at the Indian Society of International Law (ISIL), New Delhi in 2022 on Right to Be Forgotten. She was an Expert Panelist, at the National Commission for Women’s (NCW) final law review consultation on “The Rights of Women under Property Laws,” Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, 2024, and in The DST Interactive Dialogue on India’s Intellectual Property Ecosystem, 2024. She had also given earlier an invited presentation before the National Commission for Women at its New Delhi HQ on Cyber Violence Against Women.
In 2023, for the G20 Presidency of India, as PU G20 Nodal Officer, she had organized International and national seminars in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Govt. of India and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

Dr. Jyoti Rattan has presented numerous research papers and won prestigious awards at national and international conferences for over two decades including the 91st Indian Science Congress, 2004; the World Conferences of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS), organised in Seoul, South Korea, 2004; Mexico, 2006; Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., 2007; Switzerland, 2011; Morocco; Tunisia, 2018, besides the World Conferences of the European Group of Public Administration (EGPA) in Italy, 2017 and Portugal, 2022.
She has published several research articles in reputed journals in India and abroad, including the Sage Open, besides book chapters in books including those published by the South Korean Government.
