Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command, who is also Colonel of the Rajput Regiment, inaugurated a memorial dedicated to Param Vir Chakra winner Naik Jadunath Singh at Khajuri village, Shahjahanpur District (UP), in a solemn ceremony, Yesterday.
The ceremony honoured Naik Jadunath Singh's extraordinary courage & supreme sacrifice in the Battle of Naushera on February 06, 1948.
Western Army Commander said that the memorial stands as a symbol of inspiration for the youth of India, reflecting the valour, dedication and patriotism exemplified by Naik Jadunath Singh. The memorial will serve as a reminder of his bravery and selflessness, inspiring future generations to serve the nation with courage and commitment, he added.

The inauguration ceremony was a tribute to Naik Jadunath Singh's supreme sacrifice, which earned him India's highest military honour for gallantry – the Param Vir Chakra. The ceremony was attended by distinguished Serving Army officers & Veterans, eminent dignitaries and family members of Naik Jadunath Singh.
