As part of the "Yudh Nashian Virudh" campaign, the Fazilka district administration organized a human chain at the historic Clock Tower in the city. Students from Government Girls Senior Secondary School Fazilka and School of Eminence enthusiastically participated in the event. They symbolically encircled the Clock Tower by forming a human chain, sending a strong message of unity and determination in the fight against drugs.
Deputy Commissioner Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu encouraged the students. She emphasized that drug abuse is a serious threat to society and combating it requires active participation from every citizen. She said, “Drug addiction not only endangers human health but also disrupts the social fabric. We must all come together to fight this menace. This human chain is not merely symbolic but a true reflection of our collective commitment.”
The DC said that multiple initiatives are underway at various levels within the district to curb drug abuse. She stressed that public awareness plays a key role in strengthening these efforts. She urged students to be vigilant and report any drug-related activity in their surroundings to the authorities, encouraging them to become responsible warriors of the campaign.
