TOTAL 1,112.18 GRAMS OF HASHISH CONCEALED IN 23 MOBILE CHARGER ADAPTERS, RECOVERED FROM THE POSSESSION OF ACCUSED SUARJ AT THE SPOT., ONE HUNDAI I-10 CAR (OWNED BY ACCUSED DEEPAK) USED FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF ILLEGAL DRUGS, RECOVERED FROM THE POSSESSION OF DEEPAK. THE ACCUSED SURAJ USED TO RECEIVE THE STOCK OF CONTRABAND HASHISH (CHARAS) FROM THE ACCUSED DEEPAK AND FURTHER HE SUPPLIES THE SAME IN CLUSTER AREA TO EARN QUICK MONEY. THE ACCUSED DEEPAK HAS HISTRORY OF INVOLVEMENT IN A CASE OF HURT REGISTERED IN PS CIVIL LINES, DELHI.

A dedicated police team comprising HC Ajay, HC Omprakash, HC Mularam and HC Kapil, was performing patrolling duty in the beat area under the closed supervision of Inspr. Praveen Kumar, SHO/PS Timarpur and guidance of Shri Anil Kumar, ACP/Sub-Division Timarpur, Delhi, for the prevention of crime.
In the meantime, at about 05:35 PM, when the police team reached Block No. 11, New Aruna Nagar, Majnu Ka Tilla, they noticed that a person roaming in that area had suspicious movements to avoid the police team. On his suspicious gesture, he was signaled to stop, but he tried to flee from there. He was chased by the police team and overpowered him. Later his identity was revealed as Suraj, R/o Vagabond, Samshan Ghat Wazirabad, Delhi & Permanent Address-Village Dev Purva, Mau, Uttar Pradesh, age 26 years.
(SUBHEAD)Upon searching Suraj's polybag and backpack, total 23 mobile charger adapters were found (5 in hand polybag + 18 in bag). Sensing the unusual weight of the adapters, they were thoroughly checked and found to have the psychotropic substance Hashish concealed in adapters. Thereafter, the information was passed to the duty officer of PS Timarpur and in turn, SI Mohit Ujjwal approached the spot where the accused, Suraj, was found available carrying a polythene bag and a bag (backpack), who was apprehended. On this, notice u/s 50 NDPS Act was served upon the accused person and a seizure memo was made of recovered contraband Hashish (Charas) measuring 1,112.18 Grams concealed in 23 mobile charger adapters.
Subsequently, a case FIR No. 151/25 dated 12.04.2025 u/s 20 NDPS Act was registered in PS Timarpur and the investigation has been taken up accordingly.
INTERROGATION: Mr. Raja Banthia, IPS, Dy. Commissioner of Police North District, Delhi, said during the course of interrogation, the accused person, Suraj, disclosed that one individual, namely Deepak had hired him for supplying drugs in the area of Timarpur. The accused person, Deepak @ Bakra was arrested in the case on 13.04.2025 from the area of Wazirabad at the instance of the accused, Suraj. One Hyundai i10 car owned by the accused Deepak, used for the transportation of illegal drugs has been seized and taken into police possession.
Further, the accused, Deepak disclosed that he had received the stock of contraband Hashish (Charas) from an unknown person and he gave the same to Suraj to supply it in Timarpur area. Unfortunately, he was apprehended by the alert police team before executing it.
The accused, Suraj, used to dive into the Yamuna River to collect coins and other objects thrown as religious offerings, which served as his livelihood. However, he was dissatisfied with his earnings. It was then that he met Deepak, who hired him to supply contraband substances, offering him ₹ 1,000/- per trip.

Deepak @ Bakra, R/o Hari Enclave, Kirari Suleman Nagar, Sultanpuri, Delhi, age 29 years. (Previously, he was found involved in a case of Hurt registered in PS Civil Lines, Delhi).
