In a special talk delivered by Madan Gupta Spatu,the Chadigarh based Astrologer and Vaastu Consultant, predicted that India will shine like a diamond on the global horizon around 2020 emerging as a strong nation. The lecture was organised by Rotary Midtown ,Chandigarh where Spatu discussed Future of India and Indian Government astrologically.He said that major changes in various countries occurred whenever Saturn conjoined Rahu. Citing past examples of Aurangzeb Era[1659], CivilWar in US[1864], Emergency in India[1975],transformed the political scenario of many countries. Similarly, with the same planetary position, [2013-14]has witnessed a major change in the head of the country, a single party emerging as a powerful ruling party.

Astrologically , the Saturn’s transit in Scorpio also brings a sea change in the life of people and Nation. In India ,with the same type of transition ,we witnessed a new Prime Minister in 1984 and now in 2014 when Saturn was to enter in Scorpio after 30 years. This combination stirs the public opinion. Spatu also discussed the criteria of forecasts for India saying the horoscope of the country, birth chart of the head of the Nation, the commencement of new year, major transits of planets, periods are considered while making such predictions. Taking India’s renewed date of emergence as 15-8-1947 at zero hours; 17-9-1950 at 12.21pm, in case of Mr Modi, the Moon’s dasha in both the charts confirms fast development, improved overseas relationship, perfect harmony between the ruler and the country. Further the new Samvat 2072 that commences on March 21,2015 also ensures the unprecedented growth of the country in every sector due to Saturn –Mars duo. However , he said this combination is also likely to encourage terrorism, highjacking like situations , firings on borders, inflation in oil prices due to erratic behaviour of Muslim countries. India will be able to steer well through all turmoils in the fields of economic, atomic, communication, transport, defence, international trade and relations. The present government will emerge as a stronger administrator and take the country to zenith of success by 2020 and the party will complete the two terms . The Prime Minister himself will emerge as strong statesman and global leader. Replying to the queries of the audience on the linkage of science and astrology, he quoted Eienstien was supporter of Astrology and to such questions Newton had quipped ,” I have studied the matter, you Sir have not.” Further in a reply to a question he updatd the audience that 54.5 percent of Americans have strange passions with Astrology and even Ms Nancy Reagan employed the qualified astrologers while Walt Disneystill chalk out their dates and time of actions. Spatu also demarcated the line between Science and Astrology saying that Vedic Astrology is the study of celestial objects in the universe and their movements influence the Earth and the creatures living on it. Tides, earthquakes, tsunami like situations arise due to gravitational pulls and pushes of such planets. He implored that Indians should be proud of this Vedic and ancient subject which had the potential to calculate the exact timings of complete Solar Eclipse without the help of instruments during Mahabharata war. It is a wonderful subject parallel to any other science subject and we must try to learn before we jump to critcism.
