SPECIAL STAFF EAST DISTRICT HAS ARRESTED TWO PEOPLE WHO WERE INVOLVED IN SUPPLY OF COCAINE THAT WAS ALLEGEDLY BEING PROCURED FROM AFGHANISTAN., 690 GRAMS FINE QUALITY COCAINE RECOVERED, ONE KG CLOTH LACED WITH COCAINE ALSO RECOVERED, IMPLEMENTS TO EXTRACT COCAINE/HEROINE ALSO RECOVERED, ONE KG CHEMICAL BEING USED TO PROCESS COCAINE ALSO RECOVERED, ALUE ESTIMATED APPROX 7 CRORE RUPEES IN INTERNATIONAL MARKET

A team led by Inspector Satendra Khari I/C Special Staff East Distt comprising SIs Vineet Pratap Singh, Vikas Kumar, Joginder Dhaka, Bakhshish, Rishi Pal, ASI Mahesh, HCs Shani Rathi, Sanoj, Kapil, Yuvender, Rahul, Pawan, Vichitra, Raj Kumar, Ct. Ravi Kumar and W/Ct. Leismilin Mallai under the supervision of Sh. K P Malik ACP/OPS/East and under over all supervision of Ms. Amrutha Guguloth DCP/East was constituted to keep surveillance over drug peddlers active in the East District.
Amritha Guguloth, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, East Distt., said, the modus operandi has since then been changed. Now drugs are being brought into India through courier in the form of packets of clothes embedded with heroine/cocaine. Once the parcel reaches its destination. it is processed to extract Heroine/cocaine from that particular cloth. The extracted heroine/cocaine then processed further by mixing some sort of chemical that makes cocaine consumable. Maximum of this drug is supplied into Punjab where it is infamously called as CHITTA.
The team in past has been successful in arresting several drug peddlers. The continuous and relentless efforts of the team bore fruits when HC Shani Rathi posted with Special Staff East District, received secret information that a man would come near LBS Hospital to deliver fine quality of Cocaine to one of his associates.
The team laid a trap and apprehended a person later identified as Zaheer Ahmed from whose possession commercial quantity of Cocaine was recovered. Upon interrogated he disclosed that he along with his wife, Gulnar, processes the cocaine at his house from cotton cloth embedded with cocaine. The team without wasting time conducted raid at Zaheer’s house at Dilshad Colony, Seema Puri, Delhi and recovered cocaine, chemical used to process cocaine and cotton clothes in which cocaine/heroine was embedded. Consequently, Case FIR No. 876/23 u/s 8C/21/25/29 NDPS Act was registered at PS Kalyanpuri and investigation was taken up.
INVESTIGATION:-During investigation several startling facts came to the fore. The duo disclosed that both of them got acquainted with a lady Upasna aka Tabassum through a common friend who was married to an Afghan National.
It was further learnt that her husband viz Subhan Aryanfar, Age 28 yrs. was arrested by NIA in December 2021 vide FIR NO. 26/2021 u/s 17,18 UAPA, 8C/23 NDPS Act &120-B IPC PS NIA HQ, NEW Delhi in connection with Mundra port heroin seizure case in which 3,000 kg heroine/cocaine was seized by DRI. But even after Subhan Aryanfar’s arrest the nefarious activity of drug peddling continued by his wife with the help of Zaheer and his wife.

KNOW THE ACCUSED: Zaheer Ahmed aka Adil R/o Dilshad Colony, Delhi Age-48 years is a school dropout who in public view is an Auto Driver. But in this guise, he supplies drugs on the behest of Upasana aka Tabassum.
PREVIOUS CRIMINAL INVOLVEMENTS: Zaheer aka Adil was previously arrested in an ITP case vide FIR No. 46/2005 P.S. Chanakatyapuri, New Delhi.
Gulnar w/o Zaheer R/o Dilshad Colony, Delhi Age-39 years is also a school dropout. Though she is basically a house wife but she used to help Zaheer in extracting heroine/cocaine from heroine/cocaine embedded cotton clothes.
PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENT: - She has no previous criminal involvement.
Duo is having three kids from the wed lock.
RECOVERY: 690 grams fine quality cocaine recovered., One kg cloth laced with Cocaine also recovered, Implements to extract Cocaine/Heroine also recovered., One kg chemical being used to process Cocaine also recovered, Value estimated approx 7 Crore rupees in international market.
Efforts are being made to nab rest of the accused involved in this drug cartel.
