On the direction of Sh. Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP/Crime & HQ, under the guidelines of DSP Crime Sh. Udaypal Singh, a team of Crime Branch under the supervision of Inspector Ashok Kumar Police got a major success while acting against Gangsters and arrested three gang members of Lawrance Bishnoi namely Javed Jhinjha, Ravinder and Karan Kapoor in case FIR No. 49 dated 18.5.2024 U/S 386,387,511,120B IPC PS-Maloya, Chandigarh was registered against them.
On 18.5.2024, a secret information was received that the gang members of Lawrence Bishnoi Gang and Lucky Patial Gang are active in Chandigarh, they are using virtual numbers and diferent calling apps for
conversation with each other and they are planning to carry out some major incident. They can cause threat to general public lives.
Goldy Brar who is residing abroad is associating with his old and new gang members to eliminate the rival gang members and making extortion calls to rich businessmen, property dealers, builders, hotel owners, restaurant owners, night club owners and liquor contractors of Chandigarh. Even at some places fring incidents done by his associate.
A firing incident at the house of actor Salman Khan at Mumbai took placed and some gang members of Lawrance Bishnoi were arrested by Mumbai Police. From sources it was informed that some associates
from Chandigarh and Punjab had provided help in Mumbai fring incident. If technical investigation is done then these associates can be identifed, nabbed and some big planning exposed.
Apprehension of accused: On 25.5.2024 Ravinder Singh S/o Harbans Singh R/o Vill. Daddu Majra, # 10, Chandigarh, Karan Kapoor S/o Sh. Naranjan Dass r/o # 1550, Ph-10, Mohali, Aged 40 years and Javed Jhinjha S/o Sh. Bharat Singh VPO. Baganwali Distt. Fazilka. Pb. Age 27 years were arrested in the present case.
Profile of accused: 1. Ravinder Singh S/o Harbans Singh R/o Vill. Daddu Majra, # 10, Chandigarh. Aged 40 years. (Ravinder is a close associate of Javed Jhinjha and circulating his bad money in market to the needy on exorbitant rates and helped him in extorting this bad money from the clients through coercive methods. One criminal case is registered against him.

Karan Kapoor S/o Sh. Naranjan Dass r/o # 1550, Ph-10, Mohali, Aged 40 years. (Karan Kapoor running a immigration business as freelancer from his own house without having any registered immigration office. He had sent many people abroad through Dunky by liaisoning with big agents in Delhi and Mumbai.
Probability of sending gangster’s associates can not be ruled out. He has tainted past and more than 7 criminal cases of cheating and immigration fraud are registered against him.

3. Javed Jhinjha S/o Sh. Bharat Singh VPO. Baganwali Distt. Fazilka. Pb. Age 27 years. Javed Jhinjha was initially studied with Lawrance Bishnoi at Abohar and Bathina and he was also associated in criminal cases with Lawrance Bishnoi registered in Punjab, Rajasthan and Chandigarh. He is circulating the bad money in market through unsecured means, earning exorbitantly and utilising it for nefarious activities. He is also trying to send this money to abroad through Hawala Operators and investing in
crypto currency. He is using his past record and Bishnoi links for recovery of bad money. He is alluring and associating with youth of Chandigarh and Punjab to enlarge his circle by providing accommodation, facilities to needy youths and even taking them for lucrative visit to Mumbai and even planning something big.

All the arrested accused were produced before the hon’ble
court and their police remand for 5 days was obtained in order to collect
evidence and to know involvement of other associates in these nefarious
activities. The investigation of this case is in progress.
