STRENUOUS EFFORTS MADE TO ACHIEVE THE IMPOSSIBLE TASK OF BUILDING A DOMESTIC AIRPORT IN AMBALA CONTONMENT: ANIL VIJ

THE CONSTRUCTION OF A DOMESTIC AIRPORT IN AMBALA CANTONMENT WILL BENEFIT THE PEOPLE GREATLY, FOSTERING REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND INCREASING EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, ENSURE ALL WORK ON THE DOMESTIC AIRPORT IS COMPLETED BY FEBRUARY 28 - CIVIL AVIATION MINISTER VIPUL GOEL, REGULAR FLIGHTS WILL OPERATE FROM AMBALA CANTONMENT TO AYODHYA, LUCKNOW, AND OTHER CITIES -CIVIL AVIATION ADVISOR DR. NARHARI SINGH, MEETING AND VC HELD WITH CIVIL AVIATION, AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA, POLICE, AND OTHER DEPARTMENTS REGARDING THE COMMENCEMENT OF FLIGHT SERVICES FROM THE DOMESTIC AIRPORT IN AMBALA CANTONMENT

Haryana's Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that constructing a domestic airport in Ambala Cantonment, which once seemed impossible, was achieved through significant efforts. As a historic junction, Ambala Cantonment will gain considerable advantages from the establishment of a domestic airport, with regional development and employment opportunities seeing a boost.

 Anil Vij was presiding over a joint meeting today evening with officers from Civil Aviation, Airports Authority of India, Police, and other departments regarding the initiation of flight services from the domestic airport in Ambala Cantonment. Haryana's Civil Aviation Minister Vipul Goel also joined the meeting via video conferencing.

The Energy and Transport Minister emphasized the need for departmental officers to expedite work for starting flight services and suggested signing an MoU soon to deploy the required staff. Before the meeting, he also inspected the machinery and equipment already brought in for security purposes at the airport. During the meeting, he reviewed the agenda points one by one and issued necessary instructions. A follow-up meeting will be held soon in Chandigarh to finalize preparations for the commencement of flight services.

Before this, Anil Vij inspected the new baggage scanner machine and other equipment at the domestic airport. Present during this occasion were Civil Aviation Advisor Dr. Narhari Singh Bangar, AVSEC Training & Audit AAI Manager Reena Bansal, ED Security AI S.K. Malik, Consultant HADC Captain Ashutosh Vashisht, Civil Aviation Project Director AS Gill, Project Consultant MS Duhan, General Manager Engineering AAI RK Yadav, Cantonment SDM Satendra Siwach, PWD SE Harpal, XEN Ritesh Aggarwal and other officers.

Ensure all work on the domestic airport is completed by February 28- Civil Aviation Minister Vipul Goel

Via video conferencing, Haryana's Civil Aviation Minister Vipul Goel instructed officers to ensure the completion of all pending minor tasks related to the domestic airport by February 28. He also directed officers to provide security training as per badge requirements and prioritize the action points discussed during the meeting. Sh. Goel urged the officers to expedite the start of flight services at the airport.

On this occasion, Civil Aviation Advisor Dr. Narhari Singh Bangar remarked that Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister Anil Vij made the impossible possible by establishing a domestic airport in Ambala Cantonment. He stated that all issues were thoroughly discussed, and every effort is being made to commence flight services soon. A meeting chaired by Civil Aviation Minister Vipul Goel is scheduled for the coming Tuesday to address these issues.

Regular flights will operate from Ambala Cantonment to Ayodhya, Lucknow, and other cities- Civil Aviation Advisor Dr. Narhari Singh

Dr. Narhari Singh Bangar also noted that only minor technical issues remain to be resolved before flight services can commence. Flights will operate from the airport to Ayodhya, Lucknow, and other cities and all tasks related to the airport will be completed soon.
