Cyber Crime team arrested 2 accused who cheated a woman of 27 lakhs by luring her with work from home. Both the accused are originally from Hisar and remanded to police custody for further investigation.
As per the instructions of Police Commissioner Rakesh Kumar Arya, the Cyber Crime Police Station team has succeeded in arresting 2 accused while taking action in connection with the fraud of 27 lakhs in the name of work from home.
Complainant Ritu wife of Aman Singh said that she is a permanent resident of Hansi and works in the electricity department in Panchkula and is living in a government quarter in Sector-19 Panchkula. Ritu said that she saw an advertisement of work from home on Instagram in the month of December and by clicking on the link given on it, she was added to the Telegram group and given some tasks......

Meanwhile, the cyber fraudster lured the victim with false greed and asked for bank details etc. and by initially sending some money and gaining his trust, he started asking for small amounts and then bigger amounts and by entangling him in this way, he gradually got Rs 2709000 deposited.
When the victim suspected fraud, she complained about it to Cyber Crime Police Station Panchkula. On the complaint of the victim, a case has been registered against the accused under Section 316 (2) and 318 (4) of the Indian Penal Code.
Ultimately, Cyber Crime Police Station Investigating Officer Inspector Sandeep Mehta has arrested two youths on 18 February in the case of cyber fraud. The accused have been identified as Ankit son of Himmat Singh resident of village Lohar Chowk Ladwa Hisar and Chetan Sharma son of Shivkumar Sharma resident of village Panihar Azad Nagar Hisar. Both of them have been produced in the honorable court and remanded to police custody for one day.
Cyber Crime Police Station in-charge Inspector Munish Kumar said that Cyber Crime Police Station and Cyber Help Desk have been set up in Panchkula district and these units are doing their work. He advised the people to register complaint on , if any cheat to cyber portal or to 1930.
