The Haryana Right to Service Commission has directed Commercial Assistant (CA) working in Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, Samalkha to pay a fine of Rs 1,000 and compensation of Rs 3,000 to the consumer. The commission imposed the fine for not providing the notified service to the applicant within the stipulated time limit and closing the complaint without investigation.
Giving information, a spokesperson of the commission said Raj Kumar of Bhodwal Majri village, Panipat lodged a complaint regarding a wrong bill in November 2024. The commission, after considering all the facts and circumstances of the case, observed that the matter has been unnecessarily complicated by the concerned officers, who completely failed to discharge their duties.
Similarly, Haryana Right to Service Commission has imposed a fine of Rs. 500 on Commercial Assistant (CA) working in Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, Sohna and Rs 300 on the then clerk. The commission has imposed this fine for not providing the notified service to the applicant within the stipulated time limit and negligence in work.
Giving information, a spokesperson of the commission said a complaint was lodged regarding correction in the bill by a Private company. The PDCO was registered on December 6, 2023, yet bills continued to be issued to the consumer as the PDCO was not properly updated in the online system. The commission, after carefully considering all the facts and circumstances of the case took action against both the employees.
