The team of Police Station Sector 36 Chandigarh solved the snatching case within short span of time after the reporting of crime. The team arrested all three accused along with black colour Splendor M/Cycle No. CH01CL8643, which was used to commit the crime and Snatched Mobile Phone of complainant has been recovered from their possession.
On 01.07.2024 complainant Rajpal S/o Late Kamta Parsad R/o H no. 2740, Sec 38C, CHD Age-33 Years came to police station and gave an application in which he reported that on 01.07.2024 he came to Village Kajheri for some personal work.
Working on the instructions/directions of Senior Officers Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, W/SSP/UT Chandigarh, and Sh. Mridul, IPS, SP City a special team of Police Station Sector-36 was constituted under the close supervision of Insp. Jai Parkash Singh 309/CHG, SHO/PS-36 and overall supervision of Sh. Charanjit Singh Virk, SDPO/South-West, Sector-39, Chandigarh. The team working on secret information laid down naka near light point, Sector-36/37, Chandigarh. During naka the team apprehended all three accused along with black colour M/Cycle CH01CL8643 make Splendor, which was used to commit the crime.
After finishing work, at about 11.35PM when he was going back to home and was looking for auto but, no auto seen there then he starts moved on foot from Kajheri chowk towards Attawa Chowk through cycle track sec 42 side, when he reached backside quarters, sector-42, Chandigarh in the meantime three boys riding on one motorcycle came towards him from wrong side and two boys get down from the M/cycle out of which one of them snatched his Blue Mobile Phone Make OPPO A53 from his hand and thereafter fled away from the spot on their motorcycle. He noted down the number of M/Cycle CH01CL8643 make Splendor black colour and can recognized if the criminals came in front of him. He reported that he was got scared, so he could not report to the police on same day.
On his complaint Case FIR No. 143 Dated 03.07.2024, u/s 304(2), 3(5) BNS, Added 317(2) BNS, PS-36 was registered against three unknown motorcyclist.

During further investigation, all accused 1). Charanjit Singh S/o Sahib Singh R/o House no. 618 Village-Kajheri Sector-52 CHD Age-20 Years, 2). Vivek Kumar S/o Vijay Kumar R/o House no. 338 Village-Kajheri Sector-52 CHD, Age-20 Years, 3). Rahul S/o Rattan Lal R/o House no. 255 Village-Kajheri Sector-52, CHD, Age-23 Years have been arrested.
RECOVERY AFFECTED:- Snatched Mobile Phone of complainant, Splendor M/Cycle No. CH01CL8643, which was used to commit the crime
PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON:- 1. Charanjit Singh S/o Sahib Singh R/o House no. 618 Village-Kajheri Sector-52 CHD Age-20 Years. He studied up 10th class, working as laborer. 2. Vivek Kumar S/o Vijay Kumar R/o House no. 338 Village-Kajheri Sector-52 CHD, Age-20 Years. He studied up 10th class, working as laborer. 3. Rahul S/o Rattan Lal R/o House no. 255 Village-Kajheri Sector-52, CHD, Age-23 Years. He studied up 10th class, working as laborer.
PREVIOUS CRIMINAL RECORD-: Charanjit Singh S/o Sahib Singh (He was Juvenile in the Year-2021 FIR no. 253, Dt. 24.12.2021 U/s 323,324, 34 IPC PS-36, Chandigarh Convicted 24.08.2023 in the court of Sh. Sukhdev Singh, PMMJJB, Chandigarh.
