With a view to improving transparency, efficiency , and member engagement of the committee member election process, Hindu Temple of Central Indiana (HTCI)has introduced electronic voting for upcoming 2024 Board of Trustees elections.
The HTCI received multiple complaints from community members of lost ballots during 2023 elections. The HTCI board has formed a subcommittee to review the issues and provide a recommendation to board. After through review and due diligence this committee recommended that HTCI move to electronic voting instead of using mail ballots. Board has accepted the recommendations of this subcommittee and has approved to move for any future elections to be held electronically.
How It Works
Members will receive an email (one email per family) with a secure, personalized link to access the voting platform. Voting will be open for a specified time period, allowing everyone ample time to cast their vote. Results will be automatically tabulated and shared after the voting period closes.
The eligible members will be able to cast your vote from anywhere, eliminating the need for mail ballots.
The HTCI believe this move will encourage more of our members to participate, as voting will be easier and more accessible. It will be ensured that every vote is accurately counted and securely handled, maintaining the integrity of our processes.
HTCI’s primary objective as a non profit organization is be transparent. By introducing electronic voting will cut down our expenses on paper ballots, and stamps.

The first electronic voting event will take place in November, and the topic for the vote will be the 2024 Board of Trustees election.
