Saviours of Fazilka Brigade under the aegis of Sapta Shakti Command commemorated Vijay Diwas 2024 with a series of culturally vibrant and emotionally resonant events, paying tribute to the valour and sacrifices of the brave soldiers who fought in the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
The series of celebrations began with a Painting Competition at Army Public School, where students creatively reflected on the war's historic significance. During the Barakhana event, Veer Naris were felicitated with shawls.
The event featured cultural performances like Gatka, Bhangra and patriotic music. War veterans shared their 1971 war experiences during a visit to the border area, followed by weapons and equipment display and lunch. The evening concluded with a victory march.

A mini-marathon, followed by a wreath laying ceremony was conducted. The celebrations concluded with a cultural performance by school students, encapsulating unity, pride and remembrance of the heroic sacrifices that continue to inspire future generations.
