ASKS STUDENTS TO WRITE ESSAY ON DRUG MENACE, BEST THREE ENTRIES TO GET PRIZES OF RS 50K, 30K AND 20K

Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan on Tuesday sought youth's support in Yudh Nashya Virudh to create drug-free Punjab.
Highlighting the crucial role of the youth in shaping the Punjab 's future, Sandhwan urged the youth to share their ideas for making Punjab a drug free state and this mission can be achieved with the active participation of the youth.
He was speaking at the Inter-Polytechnic Youth Festival by SRS Government Polytechnic College for Girls and Punjab Technical Institution's Sports (PTIS) in Guru Nanak Bhawan.
The Punjab government has already waged a war against drugs and everyone in society, especially youths must come forward and should work together to protect the community from the menace of addiction.
The Speaker also asked the students to participate in essay writing competition on drugs and how to eliminate the menace from Punjab. He added that the best three entries will also recieve prizes of Rs 50k, 30k and 20k. He also encouraged them to set goals in life and work diligently toward achieving them. Later, the Speaker also felicitated the winners during the event.
