Governor of Punjab & Administrator UT Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria has expressed profound condolences on the demise of former Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Om Prakash Chautala ji.

In his condolence message, the Governor said, “I am deeply saddened to hear the news of the demise of Shri Om Prakash Chautala ji. His demise is an irreparable loss not only for the State of Haryana but for the entire country. I had a personal relationship with Shri Om Prakash Chautala ji. I have had a warm family relationship with him and his entire family including his father Late Shri Chaudhary Devi Lal ji. Shri Chautala ji was an influential leader who dedicated his life for the development and welfare of Haryana.”

Shri Om Prakash Chautala carried out many important development works while serving the State as the Chief Minister of Haryana five times. He worked specially for farmers, education and rural development and became a source of inspiration for all with his devotion towards social service. His simple speaking style and public relations skills made him extremely popular among the masses.

The Governor prayed to God to grant peace to the departed soul and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this immense loss.
