DELHI POLICE BUSTED INTERSTATE DRUGS CARTEL , 30 KGS HIGH QUALITY OPIUM WORTH OF RS. 1 CRORE RCOVERED, 4 NABBED

FOUR ARRESTED HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED AS AJAY , KAILASH, ANNDA RAM AND VINOD , RECOVERED OPIUM WAS MEANT FOR SUPPLY IN DELHI/NCR, AND RAJASTHAN AREA.

Pursuant to Directions of Hon’ble Union Home Minister, Special Cell has been continuously working on busting the drug syndicates which are involved in smuggling of illegal drugs in and around Delhi/NCR.
For this purpose, a team consisting of Inspr. Ranjeet Singh, under the supervision of ACP Ved Parkash of Southern Range of Special Cell was formed, which busted an interstate drug cartel by arresting following members of the group namely:-

Ajay @ Hanumaan (age-45 years) s/o Devaram R/o Gram Bisalpur, Tehsil- Mandor, District- Jodhpur, Rajasthan, Kailash (age-27 years) s/o Moda Ram R/o Gram Jajiwal Kankrala, Teh & District Jodhpur, Rajasthan.. Annda Ram (age-38 years) s/o Moda Ram R/o Gram Jajiwal Kankrala, Teh & District Jodhpur, Rajasthan, Vinod Yadav (age 38 years) s/o Ram Neresh Yadav r/o Village- Gulhariya, Tola Puraina, PO- Gulhariya Bazar, PS- Pipraich, Gorakhpur, UP

Above drug supplier were arrested in Guwahati and further Delhi when they were bringing consignment of Opium from Manipur , inorder to supply the same in Delhi/NCR and Rajasthan region. Around 30 kgs of fine quality opium has been recovered from the arrested person which is of commercial quantity. 

Mr. Manoj. C.,  IPS, Addl. Commissioner of Police, Special Cell, , said, two persons who were later identified as Ajay and Kailash were surrounded and apprehended by the members of the raiding team. Search was conducted as per the legal procedures and due formalities, in which approx. 6 kg of opium was seized from the conscious possession of Ajay & Kailash. Accordingly, a case under relevant provisions of NDPS Act was registered at PS Special Cell, New Delhi and investigation was taken up.

On 31.12.2024, specific information was received by Insp. Ranjeet Singh that two active members of said cartel namely Ajay and Kailash would come in the area of Sarai Kale Khan Bus stop, Delhi to deliver the consignment of Drugs to a person, in the late evening. Accordingly, a raiding party consisting of Insp Ranjeet Singh, HC Hariom, HC Surender, HC Harvinder, HC Ankit, HC Dheeraj, and HC Naveen was constituted and a trap was laid in the Sarai Kale Khan Area.

Accordingly, a case under relevant provisions of NDPS Act was registered at PS Special Cell, New Delhi and investigation was taken up.

During further investigation, accused persons disclosed that another lot of Opium is on way from Guwahati. Following this lead, accused Annda Ram (age-38 years) s/o Moda Ram R/o Gram Jajiwal Kankrala, Teh & District Jodhpur, Rajasthan was arrested on 02.01.25 near Belatola, Guwahati, Assam along with local police. Total 8.150 Kgs of opium was recovered from his conscious possession.

During further interrogation, accused Ajay @ Hanumaan disclosed one person named Vinod Kumar, who is a truck driver and will come to Delhi in next few days alongwith another large consignment.
During further investigation, a trap was laid and co- accused Vinod Yadav (age 38 years) s/o Ram Neresh Yadav r/o Village- Gulhariya, Tola Puraina, PO- Gulhariya Bazar, PS- Pipraich, Gorakhpur, UP was arrested from Kalandi Kunj on 10.01.25 and a Total 16.6 Kgs opium was recovered from his conscious possession and the truck was also seized. Approx 30.6 Kgs of opium has been recovered till now, further investigation is in progress.
