Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrests two accused including an official of New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) and a Pvt. Person for demanding and accepting part bribe amount of Rs.15,000/- from the complainant on Tuesday.
A case was registered on 10.03.2025 by CBI on allegations that accused demanded a bribe amount of Rs. 6 lakh (1.5 lak per candidate) from the complainants for getting the three complainants and one more person appointed, to the post of Assistant Sanitary Inspector/Sanitary Inspector in NDMC. It was also alleged that accused had earlier taken Rs 50,000/- as part bribe amount. Further, accused allegedly agreed to accept Rs 50,000/- from the complainant as part payment of undue advantage as second installment and directed the complainant that remaining bribe amount of Rs 5 lakh be paid after joining the job in NDMC.
CBI laid a trap and caught both accused while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.15,000/- as part payment of the total demanded bribe amount of Rs 6 lakh from the complainant.Searches were conducted by CBI at residential and official premises of accused.Investigation is continuing.
