NGO president Naresh Khurana, patron Bhisham Thakkar, Praveen Chawla, Colonel (Retd) SPR Gaba, Aseem Chhabra and Kamal Kishore Khurana distributed jerseys to the students. Headmistress Sudesh Rani welcomed the guests.
Lekhak Parishad president Raj Sadosh said that it is a commendable step to provide jerseys to protect students from winter. The NGO had earlier distributed books worth lakhs of rupees to hundreds of students in schools and colleges. This reveals their social concern and the spirit of education upliftment.
Kamal Khurana informed that jerseys, making a part of the school uniform, have been distributed to 252 students in 9 schools. A survey was conducted to select these students so that the aid reaches needy children. After organizing this program in most government schools, the final program was held at one of the oldest schools that is run by the Ramnagar Seva Dal. He said that special assistance will be provided to meritorious students of this school in the next academic year since most of them belong to the families which had migrated from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
