FOUNDATION STONE LAID FOR 70-METER-HIGH INDIAN NATIONAL FLAG

On the 76th Republic Day, the foundation stone for the 60-meter-high national flag of India at the Sadqi near the Indo-Pak border was laid by Fazilka MLA Narinder Pal Singh Sawna and BSF Abohar Sector DIG Vijay Kumar.

BSF's 55th Battalion Commandant KN Tripathi, Assistant Commandant Jitendra Kumar Singh, Panchayati Raj Public Works Executive Engineer Rajesh Grover, SDO Manpreet Kamboj, Manjot Kheda, Chairman Paramjit Singh Noorshah were present.

Border Area Vikas Front president Liladhar Sharma said that the Pakistan national flag was earlier hoisted at the pole platform inaugurated by Lieutenant General Afghan Ilali on February 1, 2017. Pakistan's famous singers Sardar Jassa Singh Layalpuria and Fatima Begum there presented a cultural program.

Sawna thanked Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, due to his efforts, the 60-meter-high national flag will be hoisted at a cost of about Rs 75 lakh to enhance the pride of India. Mrs Khushboo Sawna was also present.

Border Area Vikas Front president Liladhar Sharma said that the Pakistan national flag was earlier hoisted at the pole platform inaugurated by Lieutenant General Afghan Ilali on February 1, 2017. Pakistan's famous singers Sardar Jassa Singh Layalpuria and Fatima Begum there presented a cultural program.

Sharma said that we will also organise an impressive inauguration ceremony when the construction work for the Indian National Flag is completed
