The team jerseys of Chandra Shekhar T20 tournament were officially unveiled in a grand ceremony at Hotel Shivalikview, Sector 17 on Monday. The event was presided over by UTCA President Sanjay Tandon in the presence of all team franchisees. Prerna Puri (IAS), Secretary, UT Sports, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The unveiling marks a significant milestone for the team as they gear up for the much-anticipated tournament which is being introduced for the very first time on the franchisee based model. The jerseys are designed with a vibrant and dynamic look, reflecting the team's energy, commitment, and fighting spirit. This initiative aims to boost the morale of the players and strengthen their unity ahead of the tournament.
Speaking at the event, Sanjay Tandon emphasized the importance of professional sports culture in Chandigarh and the role of the league in nurturing young cricketing talent. Prerna Puri also laudedthe efforts of UTCA in promoting cricket and fostering a competitive sports environment in the city.
The team captains for all franchises have been officially announced. HIIMS Hawk which is owned by Acharya Manish will be led by Shivam Bhambri while Talanoa Tigers owned by Harkiran Singh has named Raj Angad Bawa as its captain. Punjab Panthers under the ownership of Pransh Gilhotra has entrusted leadership to Manan Vohra. WildWood Warriors owned by Sukhdev Singh, will have Gurinder Singh at the helm. City Challengers led by Mohd Arslan Khan as the team is owned by Sanjeev Vohra and Taran Inder Singh Bunny owned Manohar Mavericks, has appointed Sandeep Sharma as captain.
The present on the occasion includes Saurabh Arora, Director, Sports, Dr Rupesh Singh, Executive Chairman, T20 Tournament, Devender Sharma, Secretary, UTCA, CA Alok Krishan, Treasurer, Apex Council Members - Hari Singh Khurana, Daniel Banerjee, other UTCA members and other dignitaries of the city.
