A Mixed Masters Golf Tournament, being organized by the women ex-defence forces, begins on Friday in Jaipur to commemorate International Women's Day.
This special initiative is undertaken by Fairway Quest Women Golfing Group President Flight Lieutenant Dr. Arpita Sharma and her colleagues to include Diana Kaushik, wife of Squadron Leader SPS Kaushik, Secretary FQW Golfing Group and Rupali Tanwar, wife of Colonel Joginder Tanwar. The aim of the initiative is to promote golf among women, children and veterans.
Colonel Amitabh Sharma said that a large number of golfers from other cities will also participate in this tournament. Men and women players will compete in the tournament on March 7 and 8. The winners will be decided on the basis of two-day 18-hole golfing rounds. The awards include rolling trophy and runners-up awards in men and women category, best dressed golfer in both the categories, spot prizes to longest drive nearest to pin and straightest drive.

The dress code for women on March 8 will be shades of pink to commemorate the International Women's Day.
