10TH ANNUAL VIDYA DANAM PROGRAM OF CHANDIGARH TAMIL SANGAM ORGANIZED, TEXTBOOKS, NOTEBOOKS, SCHOOL BAGS, STATIONERY, UNIFORMS, SHOES, WATER BOTTLES, BICYCLES, AND MORE DISTRIBUTED TO 585 SCHOOL CHILDREN FROM ECONOMICALLY WEAKER SECTIONS

Chandigarh Tamil Sangam organized its 10th annual Vidya Danam program at Bharati Bhavan, Sector 30. Under this initiative, 585 school children from economically weaker sections of Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali were provided assistance. The children received textbooks, notebooks, school bags, stationery, uniforms, shoes, water bottles, bicycles, and more.

The event saw participation from professionals in fields such as judiciary, law, medicine, and engineering, as well as senior officials from IAS, IPS, and IFS services, who were invited to inspire the children and serve as role models. The chief guest was former IAS officer Deen Dayalam. IAS officers Rajni Kantham, Arvind Kumar, IFS officer Narayanan, and DSP Abhinandan were also present on the occasion.

Madhavan (former IAS), President of the organization, and General Secretary S.P. Rajasekharan shared that Chandigarh Tamil Sangam is a socio-cultural organization that has been serving humanity for the past 55 years. The organization is committed to upholding the cultural and traditional values of Tamils, with the aim of helping the Tamil community residing in Chandigarh, Mohali (Punjab), and Panchkula (Haryana) establish harmony with local communities and their traditions. They emphasized that this program is seen as a meaningful investment in the future of both the children and the nation.
