Sh.Praveen Attrey, Media Secretary of Chief Minister of Haryana was unveiled the 48th All India Shaheed Bhagat Singh Cricket Trophy at Hotel Western Court, Panchkula hera Tuesday evening alongwith Sh.Gian Chand Gupta , Ex Speaker of Haryana , Sh.Yogender Sharma , President of Yuva Morcha, Haryana , Smt. Ranjeeta Mehta , Ex.Genl.Secretary of Haryana State Child Welfare & Vice Chairman .
On this occasion Haryana Sports Welfare Association (Regd) General Secretary Amarjit Kumar, Vice President of Shivalik Board Shri Om Prakash Devinagar, Executive President Shri Ashish Kumar Rai, Former Ranji Trophy player of Haryana Shri Sharanjit Singh, Sh.Varinder Chopra , Capt.Sushil Kapoor, Haryana Sports Welfare Association Technical Committee Secretary Shri Inderjit Singh Saini, Shri Vineet Chawla, Dr. Sandeep Arora, Sr. Vice President Balbir Singh Dhande and Association members Mr. Anil Arya, Aman Rana President of Derabassi yuva morcha, Dr.Vikas Garg & Dr.Sandeep Arora , Capt.Sushil Kapoor, Sh.Prem Kaushal ,Mr. Abhi Mehta, Mr. Daljit Singh, Mr. Sachin Bajaj, Vikram Garg, Mr. Sumit Agarwal, Ashwani Mehra were also present.
Mr.Praveen Attrey & Sh.Gian Chand Gupta addressed the media and the audience , said that I really appreciate and congratulate Haryana Sports Welfare Association (Regd.) who are working hard to promote cricket at the grassroots level and are engaged in providing a platform for the budding cricketers from the rural/backward areas of the city. I congratulate and wish the organizers as they are promoting boys and girls cricket at the national level and in the Tri City on a large scale on a regular basis for the last 19 years.
The 48th All India Shaheed Bhagat Singh Trophy Boys/Girls Under-16 Cricket Tournament will be organized by Haryana Sports Welfare Association (Regd.) under the aegis of CFI at TDL Cricket Stadium, Panchkula, Haryana, IVCA Cricket Ground, Derabassi, JPSA Ground, Derabassi, Baba Balak Nath Cricket Ground, Kaimbwala, UT and Chandigarh Cricket Institute Ground, Kaimbwala, UT, India from 8th April to 17th April, 2025.
According to Mrs. Ranjita Mehta, Vice Chairman of Haryana Sports Welfare Association (Regd.), Mr. Amarjeet Kumar, General Secretary and Mr. Inderjeet Singh Saini, Technical Secretary of the tournament, a total of 15 teams combined boys / Girls Under-16 age category from all over India I.e . Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Bihar, Vidarbha, Maharashtra, Delhi, Himachal, Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana confirmed their participation in the Boys/Girls Under-16 age group of this year’s 48th edition.

According to Vice Chairman of Haryana Sports Welfare Association (Regd.), Mrs. Ranjita Mehta, General Secretary Amarjeet Kunar and Technical Secretary Mr. Inderjeet Saini, the main objective of organizing this tournament continuously for the last 19 years is to prepare junior boys and girls cricketers and provide them a suitable platform to hone their skills and showcase their talent so that they can make their mark at the national level and keep the young generation of rural areas/backward class/society away from drug addiction. Since its inception, Haryana Sports Welfare Association (Regd.) and Haryana Cricket Federation (Regd.) have been continuously working towards the promotion and development of the game of cricket for men and women at the grassroots level in Haryana and India especially in rural India for the last 19 years since 2006.
According to Vice Chairman Mrs. Ranjita Mehta, the main objective of Haryana Sports Association (Regd.) is to regularly organize cricket tournaments for girl children in the form of "Beti Khilayo" based on the theme of "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao", a social campaign of the Government of India aimed at creating awareness and improving the efficiency of welfare services for girl children.
According to General Secretary Amarjeet Kumar, the final match and prize distribution ceremony of the 48th All India Shaheed Bhagat Singh Trophy Boys/Girls Under-16 Trophy will be held on 17th April at TDL Cricket Stadium, Panchkula.
