Led by party chief Simranjit Singh Mann, SAD (A) will hold a peaceful protest next month on May 3 at Hussainiwala, this was revealed by SAD (A) President Gurcharan Singh Bhullar.
While divulging details, Bhullar said that during a party meeting held at Fatehgarh Sahib yesterday, the party chief Simranjit Singh Mann has exhorted the party workers to attend this protest.
It is pertinent to mention here that this is not the first time, the SAD (A) Supremo has given a clarion call for the reopening of the Hussainiwala border for trade and transit. During his previous visits to this border district also,
Bhullar said that the call to reopen the India-Pakistan trade route through Hussainiwala Border is based not only on economics but on an ethical, historical, and legal necessity. “With the re-opening of Hussainiwala border, traders in dry fruits, cement, textiles, and industrial goods would reclaim markets lost due to arbitrary border closures, reviving small businesses and industries. Moreover Logistics, warehousing, hospitality, and tourism sectors in Punjab would see a major boom, creating thousands of jobs”, said Bhullar
Mann had raised the demand for the re-opening of Hussainiwala border saying that with the re-opening of Hussainiwala- Lahore border, the poor farmers of this area will get opportunity to make export their produce and make more money which will boost their economic conditions.
