The 48th free eye check-up camp was organized by the ‘Banwari Lal Aggarwal Charitable Trust’ at Sardar Patel Nursing College. A team from ‘Lions Eye Care, Jaito’ provided services at the camp, examining the eyes of approximately 350 patients; of these, 80 patients were selected for surgery. They will be taken to Jaito for their operations. The camp provides comprehensive facilities—ranging from examinations and medicines to surgeries—to the patients free of cost.
Advocate Amandeep Singh Dhaliwal, President of the Bar Association, Abohar, attended the camp as the chief guest. The organization’s President, Dr. GS Mittal, and General Secretary, Ram Prakash Mittal, welcomed the guests and dignitaries. Subsequently, the guests formally inaugurated the camp by lighting a ceremonial lamp.
Trust President Dr. GS Mittal said that needy individuals are broadly benefiting from these free eye camps. General Secretary Ram Prakash Mittal said that eye camps have been organized continuously since 1980, and thousands of patients have benefited from them to date. He commended the work of the ‘Lions Eye Care, Jaito’ team for providing their services at the camp.
