A five-year-old girl from Pakka Seed Farm area died during treatment at Bathinda AIIMS. She was battling between life and death in a critical condition for the last few days after the stepmother allegedly beat her brutally. .
The police have arrested the accused, identified as Akko Bai. The girl’s body was brought to Abohar Government Hospital for post-mortem. The police are investigating the entire matter and further action will be taken on the basis of the post mortem report.
According to the information, the girl lived with her father Gurditt Singh and stepmother Akko Bai. It is alleged that on September 30; the girl was beaten up, due to which she suffered serious injuries. When her condition worsened, she was first taken to the civil hospital, from where the doctors referred her to Bathinda AIIMS. She died during treatment there.
The residents of the locality demanded strong action as per the law against any person found involved in the incident that happened with the girl child
