CBSE REGIONAL LEVEL SCIENCE EXHIBITION 2023-24 HELD IN ST. JOHN’S HIGH SCHOOL

The CBSE Regional Level Science Exhibition 2023-24 was held at St. John’s High School, Chandigarh, on 28th & 29th November, 2023. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Shvetta Arora, Regional Officer, CBSE Regional Office, Chandigarh. All the participating student teams and their respective teachers were present for the inaugural ceremony. 

The exhibition was divided into five different categories and sub themes such as Health, Lifestyle for Environment, Agriculture, Communication & Transport and Computational Thinking. Students from CBSE schools in Ludhiana, Bathinda, Patiala, Anandpur Sahib, Mohali, Macchiwara, Malerkotla, Mohali and Chandigarh participated with great zeal. 

The students’ creativity and innovation exhibited through their thought-provoking models were lauded by the Chief Guest, Dr. Shvetta Arora and the Principal Br. R. Fernandes. The exhibits were judged by a highly knowledgeable panel of experts comprising of Dr. Sandeep Chhatwal – Senior Consultant and Managing Director at Omni Clinic and Diagnostic, Dr. Amit Bahl – M.D Radiotherapy at PGIMER, Dr. Sangeeta Bagga – Principal Chandigarh College of Architecture, Dr. A.N. Singh – Assistant Professor Ecology Environment at Punjab University, Mr. Sushil Kumar – General Manager at BSNL and Mr. Sanjeev Kumar – Principal Scientist at CSIR. 

The participating students were able to present creative solutions to contemporary issues like waste management, pollution control, ease of living, etc. The exhibition was well received and successful in providing an effective platform for the budding young scientists.
