UT ADMIN ENHANCED DA FROM 42 PERCENT TO 46 PERCENT OF THE BASIC PAY FROM JULY 1, 2023

Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, New Delhi vide its O.M. No. 1/4/2023-E-!| (B) dated 20.10.2023 has decided that the rates of Dearness Allowance payable to Central Government employees shall be enhanced from 42% to 46% of the Basic Pay with effect from 1 July, 2023.

In pursuance of the Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affairs' notification bearing No.G.S.R. 230 (E) dated 29.03.2022, the Administrator, UT, Chandigarh is pleased to adopt the abovesaid. O.M. No.1/4/2023-E-I(B) dated 20.10.2023 issued by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, New Delhi in favour of IAS/IPS/IFS/DANICS/DANIPS officers & other Central Government employees working in Chandigarh Administration as well as employees of UT, Chandigarh Administration with effect from 01.07.2023 on the same terms & conditions as mentioned therein.The payment on account of Dearness Allowance involving fractions of 50 paise and above

These orders shall also apply to the civilian employees paid from the Defence Services Estimates and the expenditure will be chargeable to the relevant head of the Defence Services Estimates In respect of Armed Forces personnel and Railway employees, separate orders will be 6 In so far as the persons serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department are concerned, these orders are issued in consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, as mandated under Article 148(5) of the Constitution of India.
