HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION TAKES SUO MOTU NOTICE ON TWO YOUNG MISSING GIRLS , SEEK REPORT FROM POLICE

The Human Rights Commission (HRC) reportedly perused the detailed news-item published in leading daily newspaper dated 01.11.2023 under the caption ‘2 girls of hearing and speech impaired couple go missing’ indicating that two daughters aged 19 years and 16 years, of hearing impaired couple of Sector 21 have gone missing from their home since October 18 and police has failed to trace them in spite of registration of FIR.

The Commission  headed by Justice Sant Parkash, takes suo-motu cognizance of the matter. Accordingly, let the matter be put up before SSP, Chandigarh who may look into the complaint and submit his report by the next date of hearing.

A copy of the order, along with the copy of the complaint be sent to SSP, Chandigarh , through e-mail and by post for compliance and to Home Secretary , Chandigarh for information.

The case  is listed for  January 15 next year.
