World Human Rights Protection Commission (WHRPC) has awarded the prestigious Honorary Doctorate & Lifetime National Membership to Himachali Industrialist Sh Mehinder Sharma based on his contribution to the field of upliftment to needy and Poor persons & women empowerment during last 30 years . He was conferred an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Social Work. The award was conferred during an event organized in Ashoka Hotel New Delhi which was also attended by Film Star Govinda , Cricketer Mohinder Amarnath and glaxy of Distinguished persons drawn from various strata of society.

He recently donated Glass House to facilitate counting of donations at the holy shrine of Kedar Nath ji during June 2023
Himachali Industrialist Sh Mehinder Sharma is nominated as a Member of Badrinath Kedar Temple Committee which looks after the management of the sacred Hindu shrines of Shri Badri Nath, Shri Kedar Nath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri which is visited by millions of devotees every year.
He belongs to Village Badhera Rajputana of Una district in Himachal Pradesh .

Mr Mehinder Sharma serves the poor class of society by providing financial assistance in purchasing Cardiac stents in various hospitals like AIIMS Delhi and others.Mr Mehinder Sharma use to arrange Camps for the distribution of free food to poor class of the society outside various Hospitals in New Delhi .Mr. Mehinder Sharma has done silver cladding work of Baba KEDARNATH grabh grah, in Uttrakhand state with a cost of Rs. 200 Lacs.Mr. Mehinder Sharma has done silver cladding work at Mata Chintpurini temple in Himachal Pradesh state with a cost of Rs. 200 lacs.
Mr. Mehinder Sharma is the Vice Chairman of Hari Yaumna Sehyog Samiti, which is devoted to the cause of Clean Environment through the cleaning of the rivers, planning of trees, control of air pollution in and around the rivers with a particular focus on River Yamuna.
Mr. Mehinder Sharma is also Vice Chairman of renovation committee of Iskcon Temple New Delhi.
He is the founder member and deeply associated in day to day management of Delhi Public School, Jallandhar.
