Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann celebrated Eid in Malerkotla and joined prayers at the Eidgah on Saturday.
He announced a ₹375 crore development package, focusing on healthcare and education. A ₹563 crore medical college with 100 MBBS seats and a 150-bed ESI hospital will be set up in the city.
The CM said a nursing college and 200-bed hospital will also be developed, while a new five-storey girls’ school building is nearing completion.
Reaffirming communal harmony, Mann said Punjab will not allow any force to disturb peace and brotherhood in the state.
