HARYANA EXTENSION LECTURER WELFARE ASSOCIATION WILL PROTEST AGAINST THE GOVT ON OCTOBER 2

A press conference was organized at the Press Club, Chandigarh on Saturday regarding the protest to be held by Haryana Extension Lecturer Welfare Association on October 2 regarding their regularization and other demands, in which Dr. Charan Singh Grover, Dr. Sumer Siwach, Dr. Ishwar Singh, Dr. Saroj Dahiya, Dr. Tanjum Kamboj, Dr. Radha Rathi, Dr. Sonu Bhardwaj, Dr. Sita Dagar and Dr. Sher Singh participated.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sumer Siwach explained about the various demands of the Extension Lecturers and called for a peaceful demonstration on October 2 in Sector 5, Panchkula. Association repsentative has also declared to march towards Chief minister House in their protest. He said that a large number of his friends will participate in this peaceful demonstration. On this occasion, Dr. Charan Singh Grover told that the extension lecturer, who are working in various colleges of Haryana, have given the essential days of their lives to the government in time of need.

(SUBHEAD)He said that his colleagues who had joined as extension lecturers in 2010-2011 are no longer eligible to fill the forms for regular recruitment due to expiry maximum age limit requisite for a government job as many of them have crooss this age limit. Now they have to constantly depend on the mercy of the principals.

On this occasion, Dr. Ishwar Singh said that apart from the higher education officials and the minister of the department, he has also talked to the Chief Minister many times regarding his demands, but every time he gets only assurance. He said that we extension lecturers have never been against regular recruitment. He said that currently about 4100 posts are lying vacant in the department and the number of our working extension lecturers is around 2000. He said that the extension lecturers working earlier should be regularized and the government should make new recruitment on the remaining posts, so that the future of the new candidates also does not get spoiled.

On this occasion, Dr. Saroj Dahiya also expressed her views explaning the pain of extension Lecturer and demanded job regularity for the top achievers of our academic persuit.
