A three-day windsurfing training camp was organized at the Sukhna Lake from 11-13 September, 2023. The first of its kind camp in the city was organized by Chandigarh Naval NCC unit.
This camp is a part of NCC’s ongoing efforts to introduce various adventure sports to the youth of the city. Sixteen boy and seven girl cadets from various colleges of Chandigarh took part and were trained in windsurfing over the course of the camp.
On the occasion, Captain (IN) Vijay Chhikara, the Commanding Officer of the Naval unit said that many more of such camps will be organized in future as the response and feedback for this camp was quite overwhelming.
