The players are participating with full enthusiasm in the block level competitions of 'Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan-2023', after grand opening ceremony at Bathinda. The Sports department has deputed two nodal officers in each district to monitor the smooth arrangements of the players during the block level tournament.
Divulging details, Sports Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer said that eight sports competitions are currently being held in 157 blocks including corporation cities in which more than one and a half lakh players are participating.

Bhagwant Singh Mann, after the success of the first season of 'Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan', a sports friendly environment has been created for maximum number of players to participate in the second season.
Meet Hayer further said that for the successful management of block level competitions, a local coach and a nodal officer from the head office have been appointed in each district who are looking after all the arrangements for the players like ground, food and drink etc.
